Badminton
Golden Shuttle Group
A non-league, wide ranging age group of 16 – 70+ years, who enjoy the game to a friendly and mixed standard. It is not necessary to play every week.
One doubles court is block booked, but extra courts are available.
Friday evenings, 9 – 10pm plus a bar afterwards at Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre.

Holmes Chapel Club
Anyone who is familiar with the game is welcome to join us from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Thursday evenings at the Leisure Centre.
We also play matches in the Crewe and District League.
Bridge
Holmes Chapel Club
We play duplicate bridge with a members night on Mondays. We have about 50 active members.

Other bridge venues are active during the day time and evenings, so join us.
All standards are catered for.
We are not associated with the EBU but you do have to pay to play!

The Village Bridge Club was formed approximately 15 years ago by a group of local people, and now meets every Tuesday and Thursday between 9.30am and 12.30pm at the Victoria Club, Holmes Chapel.

Chess
Holmes Chapel Chess Club
This is a thriving club which enters teams in both the North Staffs League and the Stockport League.
Club night is Thursdays at 7.30pm in the Victoria Club, and we play on other days during the season which runs from October to April.

Cricket
Holmes Chapel Cricket Club
An ECB registered club running teams in the Cheshire League structure. We currently run two senior teams playing Saturday league cricket, and welcome players of any age and ability.

.Based at The Victoria Club on Victoria Avenue, we have a superb pitch which is overlooked by a patio area - which is a real sun trap during the summer months and an ideal setting to enjoy a game of cricket and a drink.
Practice nets are on Wednesday evenings during the season, 6.00pm - 8.00pm.
Cycling
Cycling For Pleasure
Holmes Chapel Cycling Group is looking to start mid-week or weekend rides of between 25 and 35miles around the Cheshire country lanes at a leisurely pace of around 10 to 12 miles/hour.
Photo and coffee stops will be had where and when appropriate.

South East Cheshire Cycling Action Group
This is a group of people keen to promote cycling as a viable alternative to the car for everyday transport.

We have produced maps suggesting ways of getting around the area without going on main roads and are trying to improve the cycle infrastructure in the area by engaging with Cheshire East Planning and Highways.

Football
Holmes Chapel Hurricanes Football Club
This is a Charter Status club running teams in the age groups U8 to U18 years and open age category, including girl’s teams at U11, U13 and U15 age groups. We work closely with local schools and sports clubs on whom we are dependent for use of pitches and facilities. To cater for younger children the club now runs a very active Soccer School for pupils in Reception, Years 1 and 2. The Soccer School runs on Saturdays 9.00 -10.00am at HC Primary School and the Leisure Centre. Boys and girls of all abilities are welcome.

Koshido Ryu Karate Club
We are a friendly club who practise Shukokai karate, a traditional style martial art that keeps you fit too.
Beginners are always welcome at any time and no experience is needed, just turn up on the night and join in.
The first lesson is free so come along and try!

Rugby
Holmes Chapel Rugby Club
Holmes Chapel Rugby Club plays competitively in the South Lancs/North Cheshire Leagues.

We are a fully RFU-affiliated club and are always happy to welcome new members, both on and off the field – or maybe come along as a spectator to enjoy the rugby.
Home games are on Saturday afternoons during the season, and training is on Tuesday evenings.

We meet every Wednesday and Friday at Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre at 6.30pm and return at 7.30pm.

Cycling For Pleasure
The Victoria Club has two full size snooker tables, a pool table, three all-weather tennis courts, crown green bowling and the village’s only cricket pitch with an all-weather track and practice nets.
The Sports bar has Sky HD and BT Sport showing Premiership football and major sporting events.
