This society was formed in 1972 with the aim of bringing the highest standard of musical performance to this area of Cheshire.
Concerts by professional musicians, many internationally renowned, are held monthly at Clonter Opera Theatre, Swettenham Heath on Saturday afternoons from October to May.
The May 2022 concert is a special 50th Anniversary Celebratory concert by members of the Hallé Orchestra and is in the evening.
The atmosphere is friendly and informal, with performers encouraged to introduce their music. Non-members are very welcome at the concerts.

Holmes Chapel Singers
An established choir that sings a wide range of classical music – Mozart, Handel, Elgar, and also contemporary composers such as Karl Jenkins, Bob Chilcott.
No auditions. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 8.00 – 10.00pm at Hermitage Primary School, Hermitage Drive.
Holmes Chapel Ukelele Group
A friendly, informal group, established in 2015 for both beginner and experienced ukulele players. The idea is – above all - to have fun, whilst building up our playing skills, so we started with easy pieces (using a few simple chords) and are progressing to more challenging pieces (including some tab reading and finger picking). We are happy to help beginners improve their skills.
Meetings are on alternate Friday evenings at the Methodist Church Hall from 7:30 to 9:00 pm; there is a small charge to cover the cost of room hire.
