Holmes Chapel Christmas Market & Fair 2021

Sunday 5 December 4-7pm

Sunday 5 December sees the return of the Holmes Chapel Christmas Market & Fair for the first time in two years!

For the first time, our main road (The Square) from Barclays Bank down to and including Parkway will be closed to traffic and brought to life with 40 festive stalls.  Together with a further ten stalls located inside the Scout Hut, visitors can enjoy the return of popular vendors, alongside new faces and products.  It is the perfect place to find Christmas gifts, while also supporting local businesses and organisations.

Villagers will be reminded that the Christmas Market is about to open with a peel of bells from St Luke's Church, which will be promptly followed by music from the Lions Youth Brass Band. Once the market is officially opened, we will have on-stage performances from both Middlewich Road and Hermitage Primary Schools. Add to that a performance from the Laura Wilson School of Dance and finish off with music from local band The Phonix Boys, and the village will be in the party mood.

A brand-new Christmas Fairground area has been created for youngsters on the Co-op car park with a choice of seven rides, hook-a-duck, plus a candy floss stall.   Festive performances by local groups and schools will take place on the stage by Barclays Bank, and Santa Claus will also be out on his sleigh to meet the children.

Always a popular event for meeting up with friends and family, the Christmas Market & Fair will also offer plenty of delicious food and drink opportunities both inside and out.  St. Luke’s Church Hall will host cosy indoor refreshments from Holmes Chapel Guiding, whilst the Holmes Chapel Scout Group will join This Little Piggy and Black Dog Wine off Parkway in our new Food & Drink Area.  Further refreshment can also be found again at the Bottle Bank and the Red Lion.

The Christmas Market & Fair is an entirely not-for-profit event that would not have been possible without generous sponsorships provided by Holmes Chapel Parish Council, Anwyl Homes, Massey Feeds, Recipharm and Sibelco.  We thank you all for supporting this community event.
