Holmes Chapel Partnership is excited to announce self-guided maps for Harry Styles fans visiting the village this year.
The news comes in response to ongoing demand for Harry’s Home Village Tour, which were recognised at the Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards last week. Holmes Chapel Partnership, alongside its PR team from TMC Strategic Communications, won New Tourism Business of the Year and were highly commended for Best Tourism Marketing Project of the Year. The accolades reflect the significant impact the project had on the tourism sector in 2024, boosting visitor numbers and raising the village's profile.
To ensure Harry Styles fans visiting on impulse can fully enjoy the village, Holmes Chapel Partnership will offer self-guided maps, allowing visitors to independently explore Holmes Chapel’s rich heritage and its many connections to Harry.
Visitors will be able to pick up maps at Holmes Chapel Train Station and Sam Dale & Sons. This flexible format allows fans to explore the village at their own pace, building on the success of last year’s guided tours and aligning with the Partnership’s goal of highlighting safe walking routes, dissuading graffiti and supporting the village’s many independent businesses.
Peter Whiers, Chair of Holmes Chapel Partnership commented: “After an incredibly busy and successful 2024 tour season, we were delighted to have our efforts recognised last week for their contribution to Cheshire’s visitor economy.
“The influx of Harry Styles fans to Holmes Chapel remains strong and, while the guided tours were popular, some fans were disappointed last year when tours were unavailable or sold out. The self-guided maps ensure every visitor can enjoy their time here, regardless of when they arrive. Our voluntary partners at the train station and Sam Dale & Sons will continue to offer a warm welcome and local insights to fans, as I’m sure will the wider village community.”
As a small volunteer-driven organisation, the Partnership is proud of the positive impact the guided tours had on Holmes Chapel. Looking ahead, it is now focused on supporting other community-driven events throughout 2025.
The Harry’s Home Village Tour project garnered global attention in 2024, with coverage secured on major media outlets including BBC News, Sky News, and NBC News. Much of this success is attributed to the dedication of TMC Strategic Communications, based in Congleton, which provided invaluable pro bono expertise to the Partnership.
